Thursday night, a source confirmed to KSTP Sports that the Minnesota Vikings will re-sign offensive lineman Brett Jones.

On Friday, the Vikings announced it officially, along with running back/kick-returner Ameer Abdullah.

The source tells KSTP that Jones's agreement is for one year and a base salary of $910,000. There was no word on Abdullah's.

Jones, 28, has appeared in 16 games the last two years for the Vikings, including making three starts in 2018 at center. He also has practiced at guard.

The Vikings acquired him in 2018 via a trade with the Giants. They briefly let him go last year, but then brought him back.

Abdullah, 26, has appeared in 23 games with Minnesota over the past two seasons. He was the primary kickoff returner in 2019, as he handled 13 returns for 325 yards, good for an average of 25 yards per return, according to the team's website.

He also recorded 23 carries on 115 yards, averaging five yards per carry, and added on 15 receptions for 88 yards and one touchdown on the offensive side of the ball last season. Abdullah joined the Vikings midway through the 2018 season.
