Reports: Twins agree to terms with Dodgers in Graterol-Maeda trade

The Minnesota Twins appear to have closed in on a deal to receive starting pitcher Kenta Maeda from the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to multiple reports.
The Twins would send minor-league pitcher Brusdar Graterol and another prospect to the Dodgers in exchange for Maeda, a "low-level minor leaguer" and $10 million in cash, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports the prospect involved in the trade would be the 67th overall pick in the 2020 draft.

The trade that will send right-hander Kenta Maeda and cash to the Minnesota Twins for right-hander Brusdar Graterol and the 67th pick in the draft — which has around a $1 million slot value — has been agreed upon, source confirms to ESPN. @Ken_Rosenthal was first with the deal.

A source tells KSTP’s Darren Wolfson that Maeda is excited to join the Twins.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers have agreed to terms with the Red Sox to receive two big-name stars. The Red Sox would send former American League MVP Mookie Betts and All-Star starting pitcher David Price to the Dodgers in exchange for outfielder Alex Verdugo, shortstop Jeter Downs and catcher Connor Wong.

The three-team megadeal was on hold for days. The Red Sox were originally looking at taking Graterol from the Twins, but the club was hesitating due to concerns with Graterol’s medical records.
The trade is now pending physical exams. A source directly involved told KSTP the deal will be announced Monday.
