The Minnesota Lynx made a big addition Wednesday, agreeing to terms with three-time WNBA All-Star Kayla McBride.

The deal can't officially be finalized until Feb. 1, per league free agency rules, but sources confirmed to KSTP Sports that McBride's deal with the Lynx is for three years.

A seven-year WNBA veteran, McBride has spent her entire career playing for the Las Vegas Aces franchise, which lost in the 2020 WNBA Finals to the Seattle Storm. The franchise selected McBride No. 3 overall in the 2014 WNBA Draft when it was in San Antonio; it relocated to Las Vegas ahead of the 2018 season.

McBride was named an All-Star in 2015, 2018 and 2019, and owns career averages of 14.7 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game and 2.4 assists per game. She also has a 40.6% career field goal rate and has shot 36.7% from three.

The Lynx finished the 2020 season fourth in the Western Conference at 14-8, and advanced to the semifinals of the playoffs before being eliminated by the eventual champions, Seattle.
