Timberwolves All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns agreed to a $224 million supermax extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves three weeks ago that has him under contract for six more seasons — two years remain on his current deal, then the extension covers four more with a player option in the final year. On Friday, the Timberwolves made the contract official by hosting a news conference.

Their main core remains in place with a starting lineup of PG D’Angelo Russell, SG Anthony Edwards, SF Jaden McDaniels, PF Towns, C Gobert.
