Gophers Gymnastics legend John Roethlisberger on sport's end at U of M

John Roethlisberger won three NCAA All-Around titles and participated in three Olympic Games. Joe Schmit chatted with the most decorated Gopher men's gymnast of all time about news the sport is being discontinued at the University of Minnesota.

Men's gymnastics was one of three sports the University is planning to cut, along with men's tennis and men's track and field (indoor and outdoor).

The move comes amid budget constraints brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as challenges Gopher Athletics is having meeting Title IX-mandated gender equity.
