Gophers football program pauses team activities amid positive COVID-19 tests, provides update

The University of Minnesota football program announced a pause in all team-related activities on Wednesday due to several positive COVID-19 tests.

The university said 15 student-athletes and six staff members tested positive in a five-day span, as of Tuesday. That’s when the team called off Saturday’s game against Wisconsin due to the COVID-19 cases.
