Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck met with reporters on Monday morning to review last Saturday’s loss vs. Iowa, and look ahead to this week’s game at Wisconsin. Fleck is now 0-6 vs. Iowa.

Fleck said about the game with Iowa, a 3-point loss: “The first person to make a catastrophic error was going to lose that football game, and we made two of them.”

Fleck also touched on how the transfer portal will be wilder than ever this year, being proud of RB Mo Ibrahim and the ‘elite man’ he has become, and the first Gophers penalty-free game in over 30 years.

The Gophers ran for over 300 yards and didn’t commit a penalty vs. Iowa, yet still lost. Iowa won the takeaway/giveaway battle, 2-0.

The Gophers take on the Badgers in Madison this Saturday at 2:30 PM. The Gophers are 4-4 in the Big Ten, so Saturday will determine if they finish above or below .500.

The Gophers are eliminated from winning the Big Ten West.
