Former Mahtomedi star signs deal with Knicks

Former Mahtomedi High School basketball star Nuni Omot has signed a contract with the New York Knicks.

Friday, Omot — who also played for Concordia-St. Paul, Indiana Hills Junior College and Baylor — inked a training camp deal that includes an Exhibit 10 clause with the Knicks.

He spent last season playing for Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rico, where he averaged 15 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists over 20.1 minutes per game. Omot is also representing South Sudan in the Basketball World Cup African Qualifiers.
