Former Gophers forward Jarvis Omersa is joining the University of St. Thomas basketball program, per his announcement on Instagram Sunday afternoon.

Omersa, a standout at Orono High School, only played seven games last season for the Gophers before leaving the team due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tommies make the transition from Division III to Division I next season.

Omersa has two years of eligibility remaining.
