Three Minnesota-natives were drafted in the 2022 NBA Draft on Thursday night: Minnehaha Academy’s Chet Holmgren, Breck’s David Roddy, former East Ridge standout Kendall Brown.

Roddy was selected 23rd overall by Philadelphia, then was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Roddy, 21-years-old, played forward for Colorado State. He graduated from Breck School in Golden Valley in 2019.

Roddy is 6 ft 6 in, and in March 2022, while playing for Colorado State, the team made their first March Madness appearance since 2013.

Roddy declared his intention to enter the draft on March 30.

Cottage Grove native and former East Ridge star Kendall Brown was selected by the Timberwolves in the 2nd round and was traded to the Indiana Pacers.
