Dalvin Cook repeats as NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will keep his crown as the NFC Offensive Player of the Week following another dominant performance against a division rival.

Cook posted a career-best 252 total scrimmage yards in Sunday’s 34-20 win over the Detroit Lions just one week after setting a personal high. The vast majority of that came on the ground, as Cook rumbled for 206 rushing yards — also a personal record — and two touchdowns.

Through nine weeks of play, the Vikings star leads the NFL in rushing yards (858), rushing touchdowns (9) and total touchdowns (13), despite only playing in seven games thus far. He’s also just 5 scrimmage yards behind Saints running back Alvin Kamara — who has played two more games than Cook — for the league lead.
