Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will not play Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Cook has battled an ankle injury the last couple of weeks and is officially one of the Vikings' six inactive players. Cook was not at 100% when he played in the Vikings' 14-7 loss to Cleveland last week. He carried the ball nine times for 34 yards and appeared to have re-aggravated the injury in the second half.

With Cook out, Alexander Mattison is expected to get the bulk of the carries against Detroit Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Full list of Vikings inactive players:

QB Kellen Mond
WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette
RB Dalvin Cook
G Wyatt Davis
DT Michael Pierce
DE Patrick Jones II
