South St. Paul beats St. Paul United 2-0 to advance to state

South St. Paul defeated St. Paul United 2-0 Thursday night at Doug Woog Arena to claim the Section 4A championship and advance to the Girls' State Hockey Tournament for the first time since 2015.

Gabby Ogren and Gabby Madigan scored the only goals of the game for the Packers with both coming in the second period. Delaney Norman made 20 saves for South St. Paul and Allison Audette stopped 24 shots for St. Paul United.
