Class 4A Volleyball: No. 2 Shakopee beats Apple Valley, 3-0

The Shakopee Sabers showed Apple Valley why they're ranked No.2 in the state with a convincing straight-sets win 3-0 on Thursday night, in Apple Valley.

The Sabers are a senior-ladened team with all but one of the members on the varsity team who are in their final year. Maddie Lipetzky and Maddie Meyer provided much of the punch the team needed in order to take this match home.

Shakopee dominated the first two sets winning 25-10 and 25-8. Apple Valley gave Shakopee a scare in the 3rd set when they pulled within three points. However, the Sabers pulled away to win the third set 25-20 to take home the three-set sweep.
