Pitcher Allison Benning propels Stillwater past Park

Stillwater continues its dominance on the softball field as Allison Benning gets another win, beating Park of Cottage Grove 14-3 on Friday afternoon. Benning, one of the best pitchers in the state, is committed to Oregon.

Benning kept the Wolfpack hitters off balance all afternoon. Benning also had two hits, including a solo home run in the fourth and a two-run double in the fifth inning.

Stillwater's Morgan Wholers,Gabby LaFavor, Keira Murphy, Benning, Cat Smetana, Mikayla Koren, and Lilly Grudner contributed to the team's balanced attack, helping the Ponies to improve to 5-0 on the season.

On Saturday, Stillwater defeated Roseville 15-0 to improve to 6-0 on the season. 

The Ponies will face Mounds View on Monday. Game time is set for 4:30 pm at Rice Creek Park.
