DeLaSalle came out strong in the first half, led by senior, and Dartmouth commit, Cade Haskins. The half was highlighted when senior guard Keijuan White had a huge two-handed putback slam to help give the Islanders a 42-36 halftime lead.

But, Richfield controlled both ends of the paint in the second half. Junior forward Jaden Wollmuth dominated the interior and could not be stopped. Wollmuth finished with a team-high 24 points. The Spartans had a controlled attack throughout the game, having four of the five starters finish with double-figures. Senior forward Ryan Miles dropped 20, junior guard Mitchell January added 12, and senior forward Isaiah Casey Hammond chipped in with eight points of his own. But, it was senior guard Lamar Grayson stepping up for Richfield when it mattered most. Grayson scored three of the last four buckets for Richfield, including a game-clinching and-one layup.

Haskins finished with a game-high 26 for DeLaSalle. Senior guard Evan Boyd scored 16 and sophomore guard Nasir Whitlock chipped in with 10 points for the Islanders.

DeLaSalle drops to 5-2, while Richfield improves to 6-1.
