Mounds View baseball excited to be back playing

The Mounds View Mustangs baseball team is off to a 3-3 start on the 2021 season. After missing last season due to COVID-19, the team is thrilled to be back competing.

Mounds View’s head coach is Mark Downey. He discussed the team he has this year, his past success, his senior leadership on the team, how he has scouted the local teams thus far, senior shortstop Mason Dean, Dean’s commitment to play at Texas A&M, senior pitcher/catcher Will Rogers, and Rogers’ commitment to play at Arizona State.

Dean spoke about his game, how he would scout himself, the strengths of the Mustang team, and why he chose the Aggies for college baseball.

Rogers spoke about the team, the impact his father has on his career, how he improved over the time off from COVID, how he sees his game, why he chose to play catcher, and what drove him to play for the Sun Devils.
