Hill-Murray football returns 15 starters, ready for 2021 season

The Hill-Murray Pioneers kick off their season on Thursday, September 2. When they hit the field, they will have returned 15 starters, led by Stanford commit Lucas Heyer. KSTP Sports stopped by their practice ahead of the season.

Reeves spoke about the 15 returners on offense and defense, the transition from the college game as a Gophers assistant to coaching high school, Heyer, junior running back Sawyer Seidl, and senior WR/CB Rashad McKinley, and gave a Jerry Kill update.

Heyer is a senior offensive guard who committed to play football at Stanford. He discussed Stanford, how he likes the team with returners coming back, the speed of the team on offense, and making the move from tackle to guard.

Seidl talked about how he likes the team, his speed in the backfield, trying to grow his game as a player, the speed on offense, and being able to play with his younger brother Simon.

McKinley commented on the depth of the team, how he likes the speed on offense, his versatility on offense and defense, schools interested in him, and what kind of player he sees himself as.
