Girls Basketball: Eden Prairie beats Chaska for a trip to state

Eden Prairie takes down Chaska 70-56 on Friday night at Chaska High School to claim the Section 2AAAA title.

Eden Prairie was a mere 17-11 on the season heading into tonights game, but playing a tougher schedule payed off as the Eagles dominated the game against Chaska, who only lost four games all season. The victory earned the Eagles a spot in the state tournament.

Eden Prairie had four players in double figues with Nneka Obiazor leading the way with 17 points for the Eagles, while Chaska's Mallory Heyer had a game high 23 points for the Hawks in a losing cause.

Eden Prairie will advance to the state tournament next week beginning on Wednesday at the Target Center.
