Eden Prairie junior forward Nia Holloway recently committed to Lindsay Whalen and the Gophers.

Last season Holloway averaged 10 points, seven rebounds, two steals, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 assists a game. She's played on the varsity team since eighth grade.

She talked with KSTP Sports about her decision, and the prank she pulled on Whalen when committing.

Holloway is the second in-state recruit to commit to the Gophers' 2022 recruiting class. Chaska forward Mallory Heyer announced her intention just a couple days prior to Holloway. We also talked with Heyer.
