Class 4A Football Playoffs: #6 Benilde-St. Margaret’s upsets #3 Richfield

In the MSHSL Section 5AAAA football quarterfinals, the #6 Benilde-St. Margaret’s Red Knights defeated the #3 Richfield Spartans 28-0 at Richfield High School.

The Red Knights defense was lights out throughout the game. Richfield was driving to begin the second half, but senior defensive back Brady Wine picked off a Richfield pass to end the drive.
In the fourth quarter, leading 14-0, The Red Knights again stepped up, this time senior Andrew Wolfson intercepted a Richfield pass. This time, the Red Knights would score when senior running back Max Herro scored a short rushing touchdown to make it 21-0 Red Knights with only 3:46 remaining.
The Red Knights will face SMB next.
