Champlin Park volleyball sweeps No. 4 Lakeville North

The Champlin Park Rebels volleyball team defeated the No. 4 Lakeville North Panthers 3-0 on Thursday evening at Lakeville North High School. 


In the first set, the Rebels were in control the whole time. Freshman Carly Gilk ended the first set for Champlin Park with a kill, giving the Rebels the 25-19 first set win. 

Champlin Park was looking just as dominant in the second set, leading 20-10. But, the Panthers came back to tie the set at 22-22, then led 24-22. But, Champlin Park held strong and rallied to eventually win the set 29-27. 

The third set was tightly contested throughout its entirety. But, the Rebels would complete the sweep 25-22 when Gilk tipped home the final point, giving the Rebels the 3-0 sweep.
