The Blake boys hockey team is on its way to St. Paul next week to participate in the 2A State Tournament. They beat Benilde St. Margaret's in a dramatic section final Wednesday night at 3M Arena at Mariucci.

Tied in overtime, Blake senior Gavin Best was taken down on a breakaway. It was an obvious penalty that resulted in a penalty shot. Soon thereafter, Best won it. He told us postgame that the penalty shot was the first of his career.
