#3 Wayzata boys soccer shutout #2 Minnetonka

The #3 Wayzata Trojans boys soccer team defeated the #2 Minnetonka Skippers 4-0, Tuesday evening at Einer Anderson Stadium at Minnetonka High School.

In the first half, it was a hard fought battle. At the 16 minute mark, Wayzata sophomore Joe Highfield drew a penalty in the box, causing a penalty shot. Taking the shot for the Trojans was senior captain Aidan McGoogan. McGoogan scored to make it 1-0 Wayzata.

Late in the first half, senior Rukshen Ambrose scored off a corner kick to make it 2-0 Trojans.

In the second half, Wayzata struck first when Highfield fielded a nice pass and was able to score on a beautiful kick, making it 3-0 Wayzata in the 53rd minute.

Wayzata added a late goal to make it 4-0.

Four goals were more than enough for Trojans sophomore goalkeeper Jack Roach, as he secured a shutout.
