#3 Shakopee volleyball sweeps Farmington

The #3 Shakopee Sabers volleyball team swept the Farmington Tigers 3-0, Saturday evening at Shakopee High School.

Shakopee won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-14.

In the third set, Farmington started out with a 7-4 lead. But, the Sabers proved to be too much for the Tigers. In the decisive set, junior Maddie Lipetzky had multiple blocks and kills. Junior outside hitter Nicole Christy was dominating the net and had five kills in the set, to go along with multiple blocks.

Then, senior Ary Forsberg chipped in with a couple late blocks to put the Sabers in position for the sweep. On match-point, Farmington could not return the serve, giving Shakopee a third set win of 25-16, and the match sweep.
