Police are investigating a reported road rage incident and possible shooting that led to a crash Tuesday afternoon.

According to Oakdale Police, the incident happened in the area of Geneva Avenue and Interstate 94. A woman driver reported a dark-colored SUV followed her to a residential area in Oakdale. She said a man driving the vehicle "showed" her he had a gun at which time the woman sped off into the residential areas in Maplewood near Harvester Avenue and Geneva Avenue N. The SUV followed her.

While in the residential area in Maplewood, someone in the SUV reportedly fired a gun. The woman then crashed into a vehicle near 15th Street and Geneva Avenue N., which caused a secondary accident with other vehicles on Geneva Avenue N.

No injuries were reported. Oakdale Police are handling the road rage investigation, while the Maplewood Police Department is handling the possible shooting aspect of the investigation since that occurred in their city.
