Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers announced Wednesday ways for people to help Afghanistan refugees at Fort McCoy.

Evers said the state is working with two organizations—Team Rubicon and Catholic Charities—to help provide necessities for the evacuees, many of whom were not able to bring any belongings with them from Afghanistan when they arrived last week.

According to the release, the most needed supplies are clean, new, unbranded, modest clothing and footwear. 

Catholic Charities is accepting monetary donations, online shopping for specifically requested items, or site donation drop-offs in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Team Rubicon is assisting is with larger quantity donations and distribution.
