A Clearwater man died after a crash in rural Stearns County Monday morning.

Officials said the fatal crash happened after Donald Zwilling, 56, appeared to have hit a deer on County Road 45 near Lynden Township.

Zwilling is believed to have been inspecting the damage at the front of his truck when a second truck collided with his truck.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says Zwilling was pinned under his own truck and died at the scene.
