Waseca County Sheriff’s Deputy injured in electric shock incident back on duty

Deputy Josh Langr who was injured when he came into contact with a downed high voltage power line at the scene of a fatal crash has returned to duty.

According to the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Langr has returned to modified duty until he is ready to return to active full-time duty in the near future.

Langr was critically injured when he came into contact with a power line while working at the scene of a fatal crash, he was airlifted for treatment.

"The last thing I remember I was on the concrete, obviously I got close enough to a 14 KV line, I arced it," Langr said in a previous interview with KSTP.

The voltage entered through his head and caused fourth-degree burns that go as deep as his skull.
