USPS to temporarily remove some mail collection boxes due to potential protests in St. Paul

Some St. Paul residents might want to temporarily plan to find alternate mail collection sites, as city officials make security preparations for potential protests.

According to the United States Postal Service (USPS), collection boxes at four locations will be temporarily removed "as a security measure to protect the mail and the public."

Those locations in St. Paul are:

  • 20 West 12th Street
  • 395 John Ireland Boulevard
  • 95 University Avenue West
  • 175 Aurora Avenue

USPS states the collection boxes will be returned to their original locations when it is deemed safe to do so.
