Two people were taken to a hospital after a house fire in Minneapolis Thursday night.

Crews responded to a two-alarm house fire in the 2300 block of Fremont Avenue North just before 10 p.m.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, two victims were rescued by firefighters upon arrival. The fire was upgraded two a two-alarm blaze within a few minutes for extra equipment and responders. Shortly after 10, crews found fire on the second floor of the home where it was contained.

Structure fire - crews have lines laid to a 1 1/2 story residential home located on 2300 block of Fremont Ave N and conducting searches.
