One DJ is trying to bring a little light and joy to neighborhoods across the Twin Cities by taking his mobile truck to visit families cooped up during the ‘stay at home’ order.

Last weekend, Joe Masek of St. Paul posted free social distancing driveway dance parties on social media.

"Go somewhere, spread love to people who need it," Masek said. "Everybody’s at home already so there’s a captive audience to some degree and they are just sitting on their hands right now."

Many people showed up to dance and get out of the house.

"I’ve never seen adults, totally sober, dance as hard or jump as high."

One song Masek always plays at the shows is "Don’t Stop Believin’" by Journey.

"We will not stop believing," Masek said. "This is going to end and we are going to be a better country because of it. We are going to be a better neighborhood because it. We are going to be better people because of it. What we went through together."

Masek plans to hold free driveway dance parties until the crisis is over.
