The Minnesota Department of Human Services notified adult day centers Sunday that they have to immediately close and stop providing services as part of Gov. Tim Walz's 'stay at home' order.

"We understand this is a significant step, impacting many seniors and vulnerable people across Minnesota, as well as your businesses and employees. You provide valuable and needed services, but the challenges of the COVID-19 virus require far-reaching steps to protect our communities," the letters sent by DHS said in part.
