Snowplow hit by gunfire after vehicle crashes into it, Minneapolis Police investigating

Minneapolis Police said they are investigating a shooting that damaged a city snowplow Sunday night.

The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday when the plow was pulled to the side of the road in the 4300 block of Fremont Ave. North.

The Minneapolis Police Department said a passing vehicle struck the plow and the vehicle’s occupants stepped out and began yelling at the plow driver.

The plow driver then called the police.

Police said gunshots were fired from the vehicle as it left the area.

The snowplow sustained damage from the gunfire, but the driver was not injured.
