A popular seafood restaurant is adding a new metro location this summer.

Smack Shack owners Josh Thoma and Kevin Fitzgerald said they'll open a location in Bloomington this summer.

The location will be the fourth in Minnesota, with the others in Minneapolis's North Loop, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Potluck Food Hall in Roseville.

Smack Shack said the Bloomington location will be in the former Fuddruckers building and is expected to have seating for over 300 people.

"We're beyond excited to open another Smack Shack, especially in this location," Thoma said. "We just celebrated eight years at our North Loop location and the Twin Cities appetite for casual seafood just keeps growing. We can't wait to bring more favorites to our guests that may not come to downtown as often, but still love our food."

An exact date for the opening hasn't yet been set.
