Running Aces opens casino Monday, harness racing to begin Saturday

Running Aces on Monday announced an update to its reopening plans.

According to a news release, Running Aces planned to open its casino Monday afternoon with its harness racing season set to begin on Saturday.

Guests will have to go through a non-touch temperature check upon arriving at Running Aces. Playing tables were also moved farther apart and each has a Plexiglas barrier to separate the dealer from the players and players from each other.

As for racing, Running Aces said it will host races on 50 days, including every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday through October 4. Attendance will be limited to 250 until further notice. Simulcast will also open on July 1 for guests to wager on other tracks around the country.

Running Aces previously reopened its hotel on June 1.

The update comes after Canterbury Park restarted live racing last week.
