Rollover crash in Clay County kills 19-year-old

A 19-year-old was killed early Saturday morning in a rollover crash in Clay County.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, a 2007 Ford Freestar was southbound on Highway 32 when it left the road and rolled onto Highway 10 in Eglon Township at about 1:14 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle, identified only as a 19-year-old male from Borup, was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries.

He wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the crash report states.

The victim’s name is expected to be released at a later time.

The crash remains under investigation.
