Meet Valentine, a cat with a heart shape on his fur who is looking for a tremendous amount of love.

Valentine was rescued and brought to Ruff Start Rescue in Princeton, Minnesota. According to the shelter, Valentine is an 8-year-old cat that likely spent many years fending for himself outside.

The veterinarians at Ruff Start Rescue examined Valentine and said he has a urinary and upper respiratory infection, badly frostbitten ears and mangled teeth. He's on medication for the infections and other procedures lined up to help Valentine feel better.

The shelter said Valentine is with a loving foster family and learning how life is indoors.

"Valentine deserves a chance at a healthy and happy life," said Ruff Start Rescue on Facebook

People can support Valentine and other animals like him by donating to Ruff Start Rescue's animal care fund page, found here.
