Police try to ID suspect in armed robbery at Menards in West St. Paul

Authorities are trying to identify a suspect in an armed robbery at a Menards in West St. Paul on Tuesday morning.

West St. Paul police said an employee arrived at the store around 4:30 a.m. to open the building and was met by a man already in the store who was armed with a handgun.

The man demanded money and then fled before officers arrived.

Police said the suspect is described as a Black male who is at least 5 feet, 10 inches tall with an athletic build and a gray or white beard. He was also wearing a white ball cap, a blue/gray pullover, blue jeans and brown shoes.
