One in critical condition after Wednesday night shooting in south Minneapolis

One man is in critical condition after gunfire broke out Wednesday night in south Minneapolis.

According to police, officers responded to multiple 911 calls of shots fired near Fifth Avenue South and East Lake Street at about 7:16 p.m. At the scene, they found evidence of gunfire, but no victim, and processed the scene.

An adult man with at least one gunshot wound showed up at Hennepin County Medical Center that evening. He is in critical condition, police said.
