Officers fired at during suspicious activity call

Officers were shot at while responding to a suspicious activity call, police said.

At about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, the Minneapolis Police Department were responding to a call near Vincent Avenue North and 17th Avenue North when a male suspect fled on foot. When police pursued the suspect, other unknown suspects fired at the officers.

One officer fired his weapon but did not strike anyone. The suspects who had fired fled.

Police took the original suspect into custody.

One officer received an unspecified injury and was treated.
