A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving another vehicle in Stearns County Friday afternoon. 

According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, first responders were called just after 3:45 p.m. on the report of a crash involving a motorcycle at the intersection of County Road 7 and County Road 44 in St. Augusta.

The sheriff's office said 16-year-old Emma Scherbing, of Foley, was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima southbound on County Road 7 and made a left-hand turn to go onto County Road 44. When Scherbing turned, 59-year-old Michael Brannan, of Sauk Rapids, was driving his motorcycle and failed to stop in time, striking the Nissan Altima. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
