The coronavirus pandemic will make celebrating the nation's freedom a little different this year.

Most official city and county celebrations have been canceled across the state.

People, however, are still celebrating the holiday.

Sales are up at a firework stand in the Sunray Shopping Center in Saint Paul.

The St. Paul Saints will show the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off followed by fireworks at CHS  Field on Friday night.

"We have taken all the necessary precautions in this ballpark to make sure that people are socially distancing that we have multiple areas in this park people can sit and be comfortable so the total amount of people aren't just jammed into one area," Sean Aronson, with the St. Paul Saints, said.

Sales of burgers and brats are up Mike's Butcher Shop in West St. Paul as people prepare to celebrate the holiday weekend.
