Minneapolis officials urged voters who want to vote by mail to apply for a mail ballot as soon as possible, and by no later than Oct. 20 to ensure there is enough time to receive and return the ballot. The ballot needs to be postmarked on or before Nov. 3 and received by no later than Nov. 10 to count. Officials urged voters to try to have ballots in the mail by Oct. 27 to ensure it arrives in time.
