Metro Transit says it will meter passengers at the Target Field light rail station after the Twins' home opener Thursday.
According to a Metro Transit spokeswoman, capacity on each three-car train leaving Target Field will be capped at 99 passengers — 33 per car.
The limit of 33 passengers per car is consistent with Metro Transit's new occupancy limit of 50% that went into effect on Monday. Previously, COVID-19 restrictions allowed only 25% capacity on light rail cars.
Face masks and social distancing between passengers are still required, Metro Transit said.
