A man was taken to the hospital early Friday as Bloomington firefighters responded to a house fire.
The fire happened just before 2 a.m. in the area of East 90th Street and 12th Avenue South.
A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crew at the scene reported the man was alert and talking while being loaded into the ambulance.
First responders told the 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crew the man was the only person inside the home when the fire began. He is expected to be OK, they said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
