Man fatally shot in Stevens Square neighborhood of Minneapolis identified

A man who was fatally shot in the Stevens Square neighborhood of Minneapolis on Wednesday has been identified.

On Friday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the man as 24-year-old Christopher Bryant Crockom, from Minneapolis. He died from a gunshot wound to the chest. 

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, the shooting happened in the area of Third Avenue South and 18th Street East just before noon. There, officers found Crockom and pronounced him dead.

No arrests have been made in connection to this case. Police are investigating. 

This marked the 68th homicide in Minneapolis this year.
