Man fatally shot in north Minneapolis neighborhood identified

A victim who was fatally shot in a north Minneapolis neighborhood on Tuesday has been identified.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, 49-year-old Frank Barber, from Crystal, died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Minneapolis Police Department officers responded at about 1:25 a.m. to the 3800 block of Girard Avenue North. Upon arrival, they found a man, believed to be in his 50s, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle.

Officers began CPR, however, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating.
