A man was arrested Friday in connection to a shooting that left one person injured in Alexandria last week.

Alexandria Police said 34-year-old Jacob Nelson was arrested at about 5:20 p.m. on Friday at a home in Pope County.

Man shot in Alexandria, police investigating

Police were looking to speak with him after a shooting in the 1600 block of Seventh Avenue last Friday.

One man was injured in the shooting. He was taken to a hospital. Police didn't provide an update on his condition.
