Some communities in Nicollet County southwest of the Twin Cities received more than 10 inches of rain Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Heavy rain flooded Lund Park in Lafayette Township, and some homeowners dealt with flooded basements and a few streets in the town were covered in water.

"This is the worst I’ve seen in 33 years," homeowner Butch Altmann said. "You pray your electricity don’t go out and you pray the sump pump don’t stop."

The township pumped out the sewers to help lower the water, but they couldn’t drain the baseball park, where water filled the outfield.
